Section 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Extremely flammable. Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed. Causes burns.
Potential Health Effects
Eye:
Causes eye burns. Contact may cause ulceration of the conjunctiva and cornea.
Skin:
Causes skin burns.
Ingestion:
Harmful if swallowed. May cause severe gastrointestinal tract irritation with nausea, vomiting and possible burns.
Inhalation:
Harmful if inhaled. May cause severe irritation of the respiratory tract with sore throat, coughing, shortness of breath and delayed lung edema. Causes chemical burns to the respiratory tract.
Chronic:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis. Repeated exposure may cause allergic respiratory reaction (asthma).

Section 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.
Skin:
Get medical aid. Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
Ingestion:
Get medical aid immediately. Do NOT induce vomiting. If conscious and alert, rinse mouth and drink 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.
Inhalation:
Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid.
Notes to Physician:

Section 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Vapors may form an explosive mixture with air.
Vapors can travel to a source of ignition and flash back. Combustion generates toxic fumes. Extremely flammable liquid and vapor.
Extinguishing Media:
Use water spray to cool fire-exposed containers. Use foam, dry chemical, or carbon dioxide. If water is the only media available, use in flooding amounts.

Section 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth), then place in suitable container. Remove all sources of ignition.
Use a spark-proof tool.

Section 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE
Handling:
Use spark-proof tools and explosion proof equipment. Avoid breathing dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use only in a chemical fume hood.
Storage:
Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Store in a cool, dry place.
Store in a tightly closed container. Flammables-area.

Section 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering Controls:
Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower.
Exposure Limits CAS# 75-50-3: Belgium - TWA: 5 ppm VLE; 12 mg/m3 VLE Belgium - STEL: 15 ppm VLE; 37 mg/m3 VLE France - VLE: 10 ppm VLE; 25 mg/m3 VLE Malaysia: 5 ppm TWA; 12 mg/m3 TWA Netherlands: 0.4 ppm MAC; 1 mg/m3 MAC Russia: 5 mg/m3 TWA Spain: 5 ppm VLA-ED; 12 mg/m3 VLA-ED Spain: 15 ppm VLA-EC; 37 mg/m3 VLA-EC Personal Protective Equipment Eyes: Not available.
Skin:
Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Clothing:
Wear appropriate protective clothing to minimize contact with skin.
Respirators:
Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other symptoms are experienced.
