Section 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Toxic by inhalation and if swallowed. Danger of cumulative effects.Moisture sensitive.
Potential Health Effects
Eye:
May cause severe eye irritation. May cause eye irritation.
Skin:
May cause skin irritation. Causes skin irritation. Prolonged and/or repeated contact may cause irritation and/or dermatitis.
Ingestion:
Ingestion of large amounts may cause gastrointestinal irritation.
Low hazard for usual industrial handling. May cause digestive tract disturbances.
Inhalation:
Causes respiratory tract irritation. May cause respiratory tract irritation. Low hazard for usual industrial handling.
Chronic:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis. No information found.

Section 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid immediately. If irritation develops, get medical aid.
Skin:
Get medical aid immediately. Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists. Wash clothing before reuse.
Ingestion:
If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid immediately. Do NOT induce vomiting. If conscious and alert, rinse mouth and drink 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Get medical aid if irritation or symptoms occur.
Inhalation:
Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid if cough or other symptoms appear. Get medical aid.
Notes to Physician:
Antidote: None reported.

Section 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Vapors may form an explosive mixture with air.
During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. This material in sufficient quantity and reduced particle size is capable of creating a dust explosion.
Extinguishing Media:
Substance is nonflammable; use agent most appropriate to extinguish surrounding fire. Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam. Do NOT get water inside containers. Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or appropriate foam.

Section 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal container. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches which lead to waterways. Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section. Avoid generating dusty conditions.
Provide ventilation. Do not get water inside containers.

Section 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE
Handling:
Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash hands before eating. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid breathing dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not allow contact with water. Use only in a chemical fume hood. Keep from contact with moist air and steam.
Storage:
Store in a tightly closed container. Keep from contact with oxidizing materials. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances. Do not store in aluminum containers.
Store protected from moisture.

Section 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering Controls:
Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use adequate ventilation to keep airborne concentrations low.
Exposure Limits CAS# 7757-82-6: Russia: 10 mg/m3 TWA CAS# 7782-49-2: United Kingdom, WEL - TWA: 0.1 mg/m3 TWA United Kingdom, WEL - STEL: 0.3 mg/m3 STEL United States OSHA: 0.2 mg/m3 TWA Belgium - TWA: 0.2 mg/m3 VLE Germany: 0.1 mg/m3 TWA (inhalable fraction) Japan: 0.1 mg/m3 OEL Malaysia: 0.2 mg/m3 TWA Netherlands: 0.1 mg/m3 MAC Russia: 2 mg/m3 TWA Spain: 0.1 mg/m3 VLA-ED Personal Protective Equipment Eyes: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHAs eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166.
Skin:
Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Clothing:
Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Respirators:
A respiratory protection program that meets OSHAs 29 CFR 1910.134 and ANSI Z88.2 requirements or European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant respirator use. Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other symptoms are experienced.
