Section 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin.
Potential Health Effects
Eye:
Causes eye irritation.
Skin:
Causes skin irritation. Prolonged and/or repeated contact may cause irritation and/or dermatitis.
Ingestion:
Causes gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. May cause liver and kidney damage.
Inhalation:
Causes respiratory tract irritation.
Chronic:
May cause liver and kidney damage. Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause thyroid damage. Repeated exposure may cause damage to the spleen.

Section 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid immediately.
Skin:
Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists. Wash clothing before reuse.
Ingestion:
If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid.
Inhalation:
Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid.
Notes to Physician:
Antidote: None reported.

Section 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Extinguishing Media:
In case of fire, use water, dry chemical, chemical foam, or alcohol-resistant foam.

Section 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth), then place in suitable container. Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section. Sweep up, then place into a suitable container for disposal. Provide ventilation.

Section 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE
Handling:
Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash hands before eating. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.
Avoid ingestion and inhalation.
Storage:
Keep away from heat and flame. Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.

Section 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION
Engineering Controls:
Use adequate general or local explosion-proof ventilation to keep airborne levels to acceptable levels.
Exposure Limits CAS# 101-84-8: United Kingdom, WEL - TWA: 1 ppm TWA (vapor); 7.1 mg/m3 TWA (vapo United Kingdom, WEL - STEL: 3 ppm STEL (vapor); 21.3 mg/m3 STEL (vapor) United States OSHA: 1 ppm TWA (vapor); 7 mg/m3 TWA (vapor) Belgium - TWA: 1 ppm VLE (vapor); 7 mg/m3 VLE (vapor) Belgium - STEL: 2 ppm VLE (vapor); 14 mg/m3 VLE (vapor) France - VME: 1 ppm VME; 7 mg/m3 VME Germany: 1 ppm TWA (steam); 7.1 mg/m3 TWA (steam) Russia: 5 mg/m3 TWA (vapour) Spain: 1 ppm VLA-ED (vapor); 7.1 mg/m3 VLA-ED (vapor) Spain: 2 ppm VLA-EC (vapor); 14.2 mg/m3 VLA-EC (vapor) Personal Protective Equipment Eyes: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHAs eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166.
Skin:
Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.
Clothing:
Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Respirators:
A respiratory protection program that meets OSHAs 29 CFR 1910.134 and ANSI Z88.2 requirements or European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant respirator use.
